Launch 2026: sailgoddess sets sail

BRIGHTON / UK. The sailgoddess project is creating facts for the 2026 charter season. Despite a consistent “no-budget” approach and without the backing of banks or traditional investors, the initiative has already secured fixed capacities for sailing yachts in Croatia for May and June.

Structural Transition: Expertise instead of External Control

Even in 2026, yachting remains an environment where established hierarchies often hinder access to active leadership. sailgoddess counters these dynamics with a clear alternative: professional expertise is made visible where it has traditionally been pushed into the background. The goal is to occupy spaces where women take responsibility at the helm out of their own drive, independent of external expectations. The project acts as a catalyst for a sailing culture in which competence and sovereignty become the new norm.

Economic Sovereignty: The Entrepreneurial Risk

To implement this vision independently of external financiers, sailgoddess relies on direct funding from the sailing community. Maja Jordan has personally taken the lead by securing the charter capacities—a significant entrepreneurial step whose success now depends directly on the community.

To ensure the fleet can set sail as planned and the project remains financially viable, reaching a target of 50 active bookings is essential at this stage. This collective effort serves the goal of sustainably empowering women at sea and establishing spaces for self-determined leadership. The fleet planning therefore primarily features all-female crews but intentionally integrates mixed teams to actively model modern, gender-equitable leadership in the maritime world.
